Directions. For Charcoal Grill: 1. Use one firestarter per 2-3 pounds of charcoal or fuel. 2. When starting your grill. place starter in the middle of a bed of charcoal. You can add charcoal to form a pyramid around your firestarter. leaving only the end of the fire starter exposed. 3.Light the end of the firestarter. 4. Once the charcoal is covered in grey ash. spread charcoal evenly and begin cooking. Open Flame (Fireplace & Camping): 1. Gather firewood and place in campfire or fireplace. 2. Place 1-3 fire starters on fire place and light to kindle. Tip: Place firewood so that there is sufficient airflow underneath the wood. Then place firestarter underneath the wood. where air may circulate but close enough to the firewood to ensure the wood catches quickly.
